This is the place where you can personalize your profile!
But, how?
By moving, adding and personalizing widgets.
You can drag and drop to rearrange.
You can edit widgets to customize them.
The left side has widgets you can add!
Some widgets you can only access when you get a premium membership.
Some widgets have options that are only available when you get a premium membership.
We've split the page into zones!
Certain widgets can only be added to certain zones.
"Why," you ask? Because we want profile pages to have freedom of customization, but also to have some consistency. This way, when anyone visits a deviant, they know they can always find the art in the top left, and personal info in the top right.
Don't forget, restraints can bring out the creativity in you!
Now go forth and astound us all with your devious profiles!
"Love one another but make not a bond of love. Let it rather be a moving sea between the shores of your souls. Fill each other's cup but drink not from one cup. Give one another of your bread but eat not from the same loaf.
Sing and dance together and be joyous, but let each one of you be alone, even as the strings of a lute are alone though they quiver with the same music."
Letters to a Young Poet by Rainer Maria Rilke 1875 - 1926
"The point of marriage is not to create a quick commonality by tearing down all boundaries; on the contrary, a good marriage is one in which each partner appoints the other to be the guardian of his solitude, and thus they show each other the greatest possible trust. A merging of two people is an impossibility, and where it seems to exist, it is a hemming-in... once the realization is accepted that even between the closest people infinite distances exist, a marvelous loving side-by-side can grow up for them, if they succeed in loving the expanse between them, which gives them the possibility of always seeing each other as a whole and before an immense sky.
Forms of the Implicit Love of God by Simone Weil 1909 - 1943
...Friendship exists only where distance is preserved and respected... Pure friendship is an image of the original and perfect friendship that is the very essence of God. It is impossible for two human beings to be one while scrupulously respecting the distance that separates them, unless God is present in each of them. The point where parallels meet is infinity.
Tynwald.. What a pleasant surprise to hear from you! Your "reveil/conceil" observation is spot on. I do not like to show my face to the world, I feel that sharing it with all to see is somewhat perverted. On the other hand, I don't want people's imagination to run wild with their idea of me, so there it is.. a split face. Not a lie, not a truth.
Happy thanksgiving to you too, though I'm not sure if you have double feelings toward this particular festivity. I imagine you to be a somewhat more peaceful pioneer.
Stay well and hope to hear from you again. Your short message made me remember a period that seems so long gone now.

My father died, and then I cried
But I failed to see-
I'm not alone, to sit on the throne.
He lives inside of me.

There are many ways to be free. One of them is to transcend reality by imagination, as I try to do.--- Anais Nin
